Cast-iron Dutch Oven with lid – ideal for fireplaces on camping holidays
The Petromax FT6 Dutch oven is suitable as a Dutch oven for use directly over the campfire, on the grill and thanks to the stable feet also directly in the embers. This makes it ideal for every camping adventure. The FT6 is also ideally equipped for ovens or over the gas flame. Because of the robust, cast-iron construction, it is a versatile and durable companion. The durable cast iron mold is suitable for cooking, roasting, stewing and baking. Its surface is pre-treated (seasoned finish) and can therefore be used immediately without baking. The lid has a raised edge, making it possible to place embers or coal on the pot. This means that the pot can be heated evenly from all sides and can also be used, for example, for baking bread. It has the same diameter as the Petromax Dutch Oven FT9.
The Petromax Dutch Oven FT6 has a volume of 5.5 litres. This allows dishes for 4-8 people to be prepared. A practical notch in the handle ensures safe hanging over the fire. There is a recess for inserting a thermometer. The lid can also be used as a stand-alone pan with a capacity of 1.5 litres. Since it gets very hot, the Petromax lid lifter is a useful helper.
The cast iron of the pot offers very good heat retention. As a result, many dishes turn out exceptionally well. Thanks to the even heat distribution, the Dutch Oven is also ideal for baking. Due to the constantly evolving patina of the pot, there is a natural non-stick effect. Cleaning and care of the pot is very easy and can be done without washing-up liquid.
