Elegant all-season indoor tent for the manual pop-up roof

ISO-TOP MK VI, pop-up roof insulation for VW T6 / T6.1 California with manual pop-up roof

The ISO-TOP insulation for VW T6 / T6.1 is insulation for the pop-up roofs. The inner tent MK VI has a large front opening that matches the opening in the pop-up roof of the California models.

ISO-TOP is an all-round talent for the transition seasons and summer. It isolates and effectively protects against cooling by wind / drafts. It is ideal for use between approx. -5 ° to + 45 ° C and therefore designed for year-round use. An insulating air cushion is created between the bellows and the ISO-TOP, which is also effective at high temperatures. This makes it noticeably cooler in the midsummer sun under the roof.

Opening the window creates a refreshing airflow and the double wall (bellows + ISO-TOP) insulates heat. In cold weather, the air heated by the parking heater is hardly blown away by the wind through the bellows.

The high-tech material has a membrane that is not only breathable but also windproof. In addition to thermal insulation (cold / heat), ISO-TOP also offers efficient protection against moisture and dampens outside noise. The membrane largely protects the bed mattress from moisture if you close the roof in the rain and with wet bellows. The windbreak, moisture reduction, indoor climate and security are excellent.

The front part of the ISO-TOP MK VI can be rolled down and fixed with two rubber bands. In the front part there is also a window with a zip, which corresponds to the standard front window in the bellows of the pop-up roof. The front part and the optional FLYOUT of the ISO-TOP MK VI must be removed to close the roof.

The elegant, cozy year-round indoor tent does not require any additional storage space. It is always ready for use without any further effort.

The ISO-TOP MK VI inner tent can remain mounted in the pop-up roof of the California:
The pop-up roof can be closed with the ISO-TOP installed!

ATTENTION: The ISO-TOP front opening must be open when closing the pop-up roof! When the front opening of the ISO-TOP is rolled down, it is attached to two buttons with a rubber band.

The lower fastening is tight all around with hook-and-looop-fastener. This prevents cold air from falling into bed.
The new upper fastening enables precise attachment and the best possible sealing. At the front, the upper attachment with hook-and-looop-fastener is carried out on five special brackets that are permanently anchored in the front joint of the roof cladding. The fastening on the side at the top is done with hook-and-looop-fastener. A strip of fleece tape is attached to the outermost pad and to the standard child protection net eyelet with the narrower hook-and-looop-part, which is located on both sides at the ends of the fleece tape. The second strip is attached to the front and rear child protection net eyelet with the narrower hook-and-looop-part so that it is between the two child protection net eyelets.

The third attachment is on the child protection net eyelet and in the hemstitch of the rear battens. To do this, insert the plastic plate sewn onto the loop tape from above into the hemstitch and push it in as far as it will go.

Be careful when inserting and make sure that the hemstitch does not become too tight so that the seam ends do not come loose.
Then attach the ISO-TOP to the hook-and-looop-fastener.

A suitable piece of hook-and-looop-tape is glued to the top of the painted aluminum roof and firmly pressed on. In the corner area, 4 round (Ø 2 cm) fleece tapes are attached to each side.

Push the ISO-TOP material in the corners under the roof cladding so that it wraps around the corners of the cladding.

The ISO-TOP is additionally fastened at the top with hook-and-looop-fastener.

Attention: The following applies to the California pop-top roof (without or with ISO-TOP): When closing the roof, only a window or door that faces away from the wind should be kept open!
The front window of the ISO-TOP must be open when closing.

The ISO-TOP MK VI can be retrofitted with a FLYOUT mosquito net. The FLYOUT is pulled into the large front opening of the ISO-TOP MK VI using a zipper and locked at the top with the hook-and-looop-fastener.

The rubber band as a retracting aid is particularly practical for the pop-up roofs.
