Brandrup ISO-TOP MK VI insulation for VW T6.1 / T6 California popup roof
For vehicles with a manual pop-up roof and large front opening
Temperature-regulating interior tent
The ISO-TOP Mark VI interior tent is the all-round talent for the transition from summer to summer. It was specially developed by Brandrup for the VW T6 / T6.1 California popup roof and provides perfect insulation. ISO-TOP effectively insulates and protects against cooling and heating. The tent is ideal for use between approx. -5° to +45° C. There are zipped windows on the front and sides. These match the standard windows in the bellows.
An insulating air cushion is created between the bellows and the ISO-TOP. As a result, it is noticeably cooler under the roof even in midsummer. Opening the window creates a refreshing flow of air.The double wall (bellows + ISO-TOP) insulates heat. In cold weather, the air heated by the heater is hardly blown away by the wind through the bellows.
The high-tech material has a membrane that is both breathable and windproof. In addition to thermal insulation, ISO-TOP also offers efficient protection against moisture and insulates noise. The membrane largely protects the bed mattress from moisture when the roof is closed in the rain and with wet bellows.
The front part of the ISO-TOP MK VI can be rolled down and fixed with two rubber bands. There is also a window with a zip. The front section and the optional FLYOUT of the ISO-TOP MK VI must be removed to close the roof. If you want to open the front wall of the bellows, the ISO-TOP MK VI can also be completely opened and rolled down using two zippers.
The elegant, cozy interior tent needs no additional storage space. It is always ready for use without any further effort.
Made in Germany.
Fastening in bellows
The lower attachment in the VW T6 / T6.1 California popup roof is made all-round tight with a hook and loop fastener. Loop tape is attached all around to the lower frame of the bellows.
The top mount allows precise attachment and the best possible seal. Three pads are for attachment to the front roof panel (ABS) with two screws each. It is attached to the side with a hook and loop fastener.
A strip of fleece is attached to the outermost pad and to the child safety net eyelet with the narrower part located on both ends of the fleece. A second strip attaches to the front and back eyelets with hook and loop fastener so it sits between the two eyelets. Third attachment is at the eyelet and in the hemstitch of the rear batten. The plate sewn onto the fleece can be inserted into the hemstitch from above and pushed in as far as it will go. The hemstitch must not be under too much tension so that the seam ends do not come loose. ISO-TOP can then be easily attached to the hook and loop fastener.
A suitable piece of fleece is also glued to the top of the painted aluminum roof at the back and pressed firmly. For attachment in the corner area there are 4 round (Ø 2 cm) loop tapes for each side. There, the material has to be under the cladding of the roof so that it wraps around the corners.
ATTENTION: The pop-up roof can be closed with the ISO-TOP installed. The ISO-TOP front opening must be open when closing the pop-up roof! When the front opening of the ISO-TOP is rolled down, it is attached to two buttons using a rubber band.
When closing the roof, only one window or door facing away from the wind (lee side) may be open.
The window in the front of the ISO-TOP must be open when closing.
ISO-TOP MK VI insulation can be eqipped with a FLYOUT mosquito net by Brandrup. The FLYOUT is pulled into the opening with a zipper and locked at the top with the hook and loop fastener.
A Rubber band as entry aid is also particularly practical for the roof.
