The Petromax stacking grate made of cast iron is a versatile helper at the campfire. The high feet make it ideal for use directly in the fire. Fans of great grill marks on the meat will love the Petromax Stacking Grate, as it makes for great brandings when used as a grill grate. Thanks to the non-stick effect of the cast iron, you can grill food with very little effort.
Stacking grate as an insert in the Dutch oven
The grate is also suitable for use in the Petromax Dutch Oven FT4.5 and larger. The food is no longer directly in the stock and the heat is optimally distributed. This means that food is steamed particularly gently and burning is a thing of the past. It can also be used as a smoker thanks to the stacking grid.
It is also suitable as a trivet for hot cookware or as a base for coffee pots, tea kettles or Dutch ovens without feet in the embers.
Combine Petromax stacking grids for even more possibilities
The stacking grid has indentations on the surface that allow several stacking grids to be stacked stably on top of each other. This means that food can be prepared on several levels at the same time. Can also be combined with the larger Petromax cast iron grate GR-S30 – the larger stacking grid should of course be in the lower area.
The right care for your stacking grid
The cast iron is pre-treated (seasoned finish) and can therefore be used immediately without seasoning. Petromax offers a wide range of products for the care of cast iron.
