The Brandrup Second Skin seat covers correspond to the original design of the VW T6.1 / T6 California Ocean and Coast. They are made from the same materials that VW uses for the seat covers. They are also equipped with covers for the armrests and headrests. The fit is so good that you can hardly see the difference to the standard seat covering. This means that the design of the VW is retained even with the Brandrup covers.
This creates optimal, value-preserving protection for the serial covering of the seats in the vehicle.
The Brandrup Second Skin protective cover also has the necessary tear seams for the side airbags in the backrest. The seams are made by a computer-controlled sewing machine and are automatically documented very precisely. This ensures that the airbags open safely. All Second Skin covers from Brandrup have been thoroughly tested and demonstrably meet all of VW’s safety requirements. These tests are not required by law. The Brandrup company voluntarily subjects its protective covers to the same strict tests that apply to standard car seats.
The covers are very robust and easy to care for. They can be cleaned if necessary and even washed in the washing machine (on the wool program with mild detergent). They can be easily attached and removed. For easier installation, we recommend the banana tool, which helps when sliding under the plastic.
