The side panel for the VW T6.1 / T6 / T5 California awning is very robust and extremely flexible in use. It is suitable for attachment to any awning arm and can therefore be attached to both the right and left side of the awning. Attaching it to the roller awning is child’s play. To do this, the awning must be fully extended so that the awning arm reaches its full length. The upper end of the side panel can then be placed over the awning arm and the zip fastener closed.
The side panel can also be rolled up and attached to the awning arm. Velcro fastenings are already attached to the side panel for this purpose.
The bracing on the floor should be elastic and loose, but always at a slight angle (not vertical). This creates significantly more space and reduces resistance to wind. However, if the wind is stronger, the awning must still be retracted, as all awning manufacturers specify.

Scope of delivery: Side panel for the roller awning made of Airtex Top measuring approx. 1.79 x 2.03 m (W x H). Attached to the arms of the awning with a zip. Non-slip inserts and hook and loop fasteners. The accessories for tensioning to the ground are also included.
Additional tensioning accessories are also available to secure the side wall in the best possible way. It is indispensable and you should always use it when using the sails and side walls on different surfaces.
