Volkswagen bicycle carrier for the tailgate of the T6.1 / T6 California and Multivan

The original Volkswagen bicycle carrier is suitable for both the manual and the electric tailgate of the T6.1 / T6 California and Multivan. It is ideal for the space-saving transport of up to four bicycles. The carrier can be loaded with up to 60 kg. Each of the rails can carry a bicycle weighing a maximum of 17 kg. When the rear carrier is not loaded, the tailgate can still be opened (manually or electrically).
The bike carrier for the rear of the VW T6.1 / T6 California is completely pre-assembled. Paint protection film should be applied to the vehicle. These are included in the scope of delivery. Before installation, check the gap between the tailgate and the SBBR light (rear light). The minimum gap must be 4.5 mm on both sides.
The wheel is mounted using tensioning straps. The lockable 4th spacer also provides anti-theft protection.

If necessary, replace the gas struts of the tailgate.
Only in conjunction with a tailgate as standard:

- Comfort (3RP)
The carrier cannot be used with a high roof or if a rear/roof edge spoiler has been retrofitted. It is also not provided for vehicles with decorative film at the rear.
If the Brandrup Flexbag Cargo bag for the rear carrier is also attached to the bike carrier for the VW T6.1 / T6 California and Multivan, the available storage space of the vehicle is significantly increased.
