The Petromax wooden spoon is the ideal addition to any kitchen – whether outdoors or indoors. It is made from local cherry wood and is particularly suitable for use in cast-iron cooking utensils such as Dutch ovens or in non-stick pans. The soft wood does not damage the valuable patina or coating, even when stirred vigorously.
Each spoon has an individual pattern, which is emphasised by the oiling. The classic shape with oval trowel and flat handle makes handling child’s play.
Care tips for the Petromax wooden spoon
Wood is a natural material and should therefore only be cleaned gently. Prolonged soaking causes the wood to swell, which can lead to cracks. For thorough cleaning, you should therefore only use a little warm water – if necessary with a little washing-up liquid or abrasive cleaner. From time to time, the wooden spoon should be rubbed with a little warm, neutral vegetable oil and left to dry overnight. This keeps the wood in good condition and you can enjoy your wooden spoon for a long time.
