The new generation, the Skycamp 3.0, has many new features in store! For example, the premium mattress of the 3.0 is now even more comfortable. The windows now open with a roll-up quick-opening system through straps inside the tent. Among other things, it has a tension pole pocket directly at the tent entrance to keep the poles safe and within reach.

Skycamp 3.0: Arrive, open – relax in just 60 seconds

The Skycamp 3.0 unfolds in seconds into a comfortable and spacious sleeping space for up to four people. The roof tent is very easy to set up and also to fold up again. The unique folding mechanism makes it possible.

In addition, the hard shell of the Skycamp 3.0 keeps out sound and cold with an insulating air zone between the outer and inner form. An additional insulating layer is also provided by the lightweight tent floor made of aluminium honeycomb panels. So it’s always warm, dry and cosy inside.

But the best thing is: as quickly and easily as the Skycamp 3.0 is set up, so quickly does your holiday begin. Instead of struggling with complicated instructions and unwieldy poles, you can enjoy your time.

The main features at a glance

Premium mattress

The extra thick 9-zone mattress is equipped with an additional insulating layer for colder nights.

Plenty of room

The fibreglass hard shell offers room for sleeping bags and pillows. The huge king-size sleeping area offers space for up to four people.

Quick attachment

The Skycamp is compatible with a wide range of crossbars and can be used universally. The mounting system is therefore suitable for most vehicles.

Window Roll-Up

Two-layer windows can be opened and closed from the inside. The side windows consist of a fly net, a polyester window and a blackout layer that protects against rain and prying eyes. The starry sky window provides extra light during the day and a great view of the stars at night.

Cable pass-through

There are openings in the aluminium floor so that cables can be easily routed inside the roof tent. This allows you to charge your smartphone at night, for example.

Detachable ladder

The practical ladder can be detached in one easy step and transported in the car. This saves approx. 6 kg of weight with a tight roof load.

The 3-layer textile system

Inside: Air chamber lining on the inside of the hard shell and on the mattress ensures a cosy atmosphere in the roof tent

Tent: Breathable tent fabric made from high-quality cotton blend fabric allows natural moisture balance

Tropical roof: The tropical roof keeps out the sun’s rays and ensures a pleasant indoor climate thanks to the air circulation between the roof and the tent – even in very hot regions.

Easy mounting

Thanks to its low weight, the Skycamp 3.0 can be easily lifted onto the roof like a roof box with a few helping hands and attached to the crossbar with the enclosed mounting clips.

Which cars does the roof tent fit on?

The roof tent can be mounted on almost any vehicle. Only two load carriers and a minimum roof load of 75kg are required. The roof tent is then simply attached with the enclosed mounting material. On most vehicles, the roof load is between 75 – 100kg. This specification only refers to the load when the vehicle is in motion. When stationary, the weight acting on the roof may be considerably higher.

Handmade hard shell from GFK

The special design of the fibreglass hard shell not only reduces air resistance on the road: the unique hard shell also has an air zone between the outer and inner shape. This air zone not only makes the hard shell particularly strong and durable, but also insulates the inside of the compartment tent against sound and cold. iKamper has the hard shell produced by experts, with more than 30 years of experience in the production of high-tech glass fibres.

High-quality materials, precise workmanship

The tent fabric consists of a very high-quality and heavy cotton blend fabric, also known as canvas. The fibre is a material work of art made of cotton and polyester and combines the advantages of a natural fibre with those of a modern high-tech material. The result is a strong, breathable fabric with a pleasant feel and great shape retention that is perfect for European weather.

Well thought-out detailed solutions

iKamper roof tents have many detailed solutions to make life “outside” easier. The tent floor is made of aluminium honeycomb panels. This type of construction is characterised by high flexural strength with extremely low weight and excellent flatness – perfect for the car roof. The frame of the tents is made of strong, anodised aluminium and special stainless steel components. This modern surface finish offers high corrosion protection and a pleasant feel. You can access the roof tent via the uniquely angled ladder steps, which make climbing ergonomically comfortable. The world map inside the tent inspires you to dream of your next destinations.
