The percolator is suitable for almost all applications: whether on the grill grate, in the campfire embers, on the hob or on the induction hob – hot drinks can be brewed easily anywhere with the Perkomax. Up to nine cups of tea or coffee can be prepared with one filling, whereby the preparation time depends on the heat source and the amount of liquid.
The percolator principle
In a percolator, the water rises through a tube into the coffee or tea filter as it heats up. The water drips onto the coffee powder and seeps back down through a sieve into the pot. There it mixes again with the remaining water before it rises again through the tube. The more frequently the water circulates through the percolator, the more intense the flavour becomes. This releases particularly fine flavours in tea and coffee. Whether at home or when camping – with the Perkomax you can make full-flavoured coffee in no time at all.
