Rocket oven for fast-paced cooking adventures
With the Petromax rocket stove you are completely self-sufficient even when travelling. The compact hob is fuelled with branches, twigs or pine cones and heats up in no time at all. This means that nothing stands in the way of a hot meal. Thanks to its good insulation, the rocket stove can also be placed comfortably at working height on a camping table. The heat is concentrated in the centre of the oven so that the substrate is not affected.
How the Petromax rocket stove works
To fire the stove, first place the ash pan in position and open the combustion chamber completely. The dry fuel is filled into these and lit. Lighting the fire is particularly easy with the fire kit. Simply place it directly in the centre of the combustion chamber and light it with the matches provided. Branches and twigs can be continuously added via the fuel tray to keep the fire going.
The cast iron cooking surface optimally stores the heat from the fire and transfers it to the cookware. Whether percolator, Dutch oven or forge pan – every meal is quickly heated on the compact rocket stove. After cooling down, the oven can be easily transported using the two handles.
The chimney effect makes all the difference
The outdoor stove burns particularly efficiently thanks to its L-shaped design, which creates a chimney effect. The cold air flowing into the combustion chamber is heated by the fire and rises to the top where it escapes. The resulting negative pressure ensures that there is a constant flow of air from the bottom to the top.
The electricity-free camping stove is therefore quickly fuelled, uses sustainable and available resources and provides quick relief for hunger pangs large and small.
