Petromax care paste for cast iron
Protective paste for burning in and preserving the patina
The pots and pans from Petromax are pre-treated (seasoned finish). With the Petromax care paste the patina on the cast iron is preserved for a long time and the pot functions as desired. Even cast-iron Dutch ovens that have not been pre-treated can be burnt in with the paste to create the desired non-stick effect.
The Petromax care product protects the surface of the iron from rust. Food residues also no longer adhere so strongly. The paste is food-safe and should be applied after every cooking process to maintain the patina and protect the pot.
The paste consists of various oils. It has been specially developed for use on cast iron and does not become rancid. Regular use creates a high-quality patina over time. This further improves the cooking and frying properties of the iron. The paste is suitable for all cast iron products. Petromax Dutch Ovens, fire pans and special moulds in particular benefit from the regular use of the care paste.
Made from pure natural products, the paste is food-safe, vegan and gluten-free. It should be stored in a dark, cool and sealed place.
