Cast iron pan – ideal for fire pits on camping holidays
The small Petromax FP20-T fire pan is ideal for use directly over the campfire or on the barbecue. It is therefore ideally equipped for any camping adventure. But the fire pan also cuts a fine figure in the oven at home or over a gas flame. The robust cast iron makes the pan a long-lasting companion that is suitable for cooking, frying, braising and baking.
Ready to use – perfect for small portions
The surface of the FP20-T fire pan is pre-treated – so the pan can be used immediately and without baking. The cast iron offers particularly good heat conductivity and retention. Not only do many dishes turn out exceptionally well, the pan can also be used for serving without the food cooling down too quickly.
The fire pan has a long handle and a practical small handle so that carrying and hanging it up is no problem. The handle also heats up during the process, which is why we recommend the Petromax Aramid handle cover, which is suitable for temperatures up to 250°C, for handling the hot pan.
With a diameter of 20 cm, the FP20-T is one of the small Petromax fire pans. It is perfect for cooking small portions or side dishes. It has a capacity of 1 litre and has side pouring rims for drip-free pouring.
Proper care for your fire pan
Clean with a little warm water and a brush; stubborn incrustations can be easily removed with a ring cleaner. Under no circumstances should washing-up liquid be used, as this destroys the valuable patina. From time to time, the pan should be rubbed with a little neutral vegetable oil or Petromax care paste in order to enjoy the cast iron for a long time.
