The lifter for easy lifting and positioning of the hot lid
The Petromax lid lifter is a real must-have for fans of the famous Dutch Oven. The cast-iron pots and their lids offer good and even heat distribution. However, this also makes the lids very hot. The lid lifter guarantees safe handling despite the high heat. The lifter has a length of approx. 33 cm so that sufficient distance to the hot metal can be maintained. There is a practical eyelet at the top that can also be used to hang up the lifter.
This is how the lid lifter works
The hook at the lower end of the lid lifter is simply slid into the handle of the Dutch oven lid. It is automatically fixed in place by the cross strut when it is lifted. Thanks to the special handle design, the lid lifter sits particularly comfortably in the hand so that it cannot slip away during the lifting process. The high-quality steel ensures stability, so even heavy pot lids like the FT12 are no problem. Practical: The lifter can also be used as a fire poker for glowing coals.
The lid lifter fits all sizes of Petromax Dutch Ovens and the K4 and K8 loaf pans, as well as many other Dutch Ovens from other manufacturers.
