Petromax Cast Grate Insert
The Petromax cast iron grate insert is the ideal complement to the Petromax fire pots. It fits all pots from ft4.5 and creates extra space between the base and the food. Thus, it not only effectively prevents burning due to excessive bottom heat, it also creates optimal air circulation at the same time. This ensures particularly even cooking results.
The insert stands on three small knobs so that gentle steaming or baking is also possible without much fat. Thanks to the seasoned finish, the cast iron grate insert is ready for immediate use and does not have to be baked in first.
The practical cast-iron grate insert is a multifunctional talent
But the cast iron grate can do much more: when grilling directly in the embers, it creates the perfect grill pattern on the meat. Alternatively, the sturdy cast iron grate can also serve as a stand for percolator, tea kettle and co. directly in the fire. It also has its role at the table: as a practical trivet, it protects the surface from hot cookware.
